I want to use gigabit ethernet within my home. Will the installer run CAT 6 instead of CAT 5 if I supply the spool?

Category:Fios Installation

The question begs itself: Yes, but what is the advantage?

Most network adapters only operate in the 100Mbps range, and the fastest conection FiOS currently offers in most markets is 50Mbps downstream and 10Mbps upstream. Most large businesses where that speed package has been installed have caused their IT guys to figuratively cream their pants. And, at a price point of $190.00/month as PART of a package make it cost prohibitive for most folks.

I know gigabit internet is coming, but its not here yet....
