If my phone service moves to fiber how does this affect my alarm system which is connected to my phone?

Your alarm system will most likely not be affected.

However, since your alarm system uses the phone line, in a power outage, the phone line will only be active for up to 8 hours. Therefore, after 8 hours, you alarm will not be able to access the phone line.
